AGENCY DIARY: WINTER & HIGH SUMMER

Winter is coming, but there is no time for hibernation at Charlie+Mary’s agency!  While we have been following up deliveries arriving in stores for the current season, we also gave brands feedback on the SS16 collection before it goes into production.  A careful evaluation of each piece, especially regarding sizing and fitting as well as all the comments that we have collected from buyers are passed on to the designers, so they can incorporate it where possible.

WUNDERWERK HIGH SUMMER 2016

Get your additional styles for Summer 2016 with the Wunderwerk High Summer collection. This collection gives you the opportunity to refresh the collections in your store, in season.

The Wunderwerk High summer collection offers new styles as well as spin off designs from bestseller styles from the regular season, in new colours and fabrics.

The on-trend kimono styles bring interesting newness to the collection and are great pieces for layering in summer. Colours run from gorgeous faded ton-sur-ton options to summer brights. Fabrics are light and have a beautiful drape.

PEOPLE TREE AND JO WOOD IN NEPAL

People Tree took Jo Wood (former model, ex-wife of Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood and organic entrepreneur) on a production trip to Nepal. Attached are the video and article published by HELLO magazine, which feature Jo Wood/Safia’s trip to Nepal post-earthquake, as well as their visit to the Nepalese hand-knitters who collaborate with People Tree.

True fashion brands have a story to tell. They are proud of that story, so they want to tell it. Not only do they meet the minimum requirements for information that a consumer is entitled to but True fashion labels share more than that!

Let’s take a look at a few examples.

HELP VLUCHTELINGENWERK WITH ORGANIC #HALLOMENSEN STATEMENT T-SHIRT

Men, women and children come to Europe because they escape poverty, fear of death or starvation. Whether they are the “justified” asylum seekers or economic migrants is a question the responsible authorities will deal with. However, people have a right to a safe place where they are treated as human beings – not as a number.

Amsterdam based PR Agency ‘De Wolven‘ felt it was time to do something and approached Charlie + Mary’s agency for a collaboration. To help with providing a safe place for refugees we are collecting money with a statement shirt! Produced honestly and made of organic cotton of course.

We are asking retailers to join the initiative to help raising more awareness and money for the work of Vluchtelingenwerk Nederland.
